DUKE = training establishment at Great Malvern for new entry stokers

PEMBROKE = naval barracks at Chatham

DRAKE = naval barracks at Devonport

SAKEL = I would suggest SAKER. This is the R.N. in the USA; usually
indicated naval personnel at Washington D.C. but in WW2 also covered those at New
York and Virginia and in Maine. (see below)

CAROLINE - old World War One cruiser (still in existence), used in WW2 as a
base ship for local forces at Belfast

GOODSON - frigate, 'Captain' class. Built at Boston, USA and transferred to
the RN (this must be why Saker is shown above)
1140/1430 tons 289ft x 35ft
diesel/electric = 20 knots armed 3 x 3in 2 x40mm, 9 x20mm + depth charges
She commissioned in October '43 and served with the 5th Escort Group; they
were employed in escorting Atlantic convoys; also involved in June '44 in
covering the Normandy landings

PARIS - French battleship seized by the British at Plymouth in 1940 when
France was overrun; served as a depot and accomodation ship

BV.7 = originally a boom/gate vessel, employed in tending net barriers
across harbours. 270 tons 100 ft x 25 ft no machinery ; built in 1917 by 1940
she was being used as a floating AA battery and named POLEGATE. Scrapped 1945

DRAKE III -an accounting form for a section within the barracks at Devonport
