Hi Andy and Paul and all,
The pic came from the album of my Scottish ancestors He from Edinburgh her
from the Shetlands It is her family of Mouat/ Mowatt that had the mariners c
1840- 50's The Photo is quite crude it has no studio name and is just stuck
on thin card. I agree with Andy that the last 2 letters of the first word is
MS I just assumed it was HMS . I don't think this photo dates as late as
WWI as it just is too old.
