I am also a descendant of the James McCall of Saugus. Claire McCall, in his
book, says that James McCall 3( b. 1690) had a son, Ebenezer who was born
1719, therefore his mother was Hannah Green. Other sources I have seen say
his mother was Rachel Turner and that he was born in 1714. Does anyone have
any original research on Ebenezer that would clarify the birthdate and
therefore tell me which wife of James was his mother? A 4 and a 9 can look a
lot alike, so I think someone misread a record somewhere.

Claire McCall did not where he James 1 came from in Scotland. Has anyone in
this group done any research on him?

Thank you.
