Geez, I didn't know there was a McDonald/Muncker connection. My
Mc(Mac)Donalds are from New Brunswick, Canada, so I don't have any information from that
area. But....my husband graduated from Pacific University in Forest Grove,
Oregon. We always gave the kids money to go get a treat from Munckers Market.
The gentleman was quite elderly then, but it seemed like many Munckers had
settled in that area in the "early days". I even remember going to a little white
church with red carpeting that was supposed to have been built by the Muncker
family. I think the church was Presbyterian, but I can't remember what
direction it was from Forest Grove. Maybe the Forest Grove newspaper would print
an article for you or you could put an ad in the paper asking for information.
My husband graduated exactly 30 years ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy.
