Subject: [McDONALD] 1800s/NC/some from Scotland/Isle of Skye/MYRICK HARRIS
McDONALD etc.

>I'm sorry, where does the McDonald come into this, this is the name I
connect with? I cannot connect with the names you have enclosed.
Hello,

I'm sorry you missed the Mc/MacDONALD connection with 3 McDONALD individuals
mentioned therein; but, in the email that I first sent to the McDONALD and
other lists which I have enclosed in full further below this one, there are a
couple of McDONALDs listed that connect with the CAMPBELL from Isle of Skye,
Scotland where my Mc/MacDONALD family was, also, from, it is believed, before
going into North Carolina possibly into Richmond County, North Carolina and,
possibly, into Anson County, North Carolina. And, also, I am also showing the
items mentioning other family members from Isle of Skye, Scotland as Item # 4 and
Item # 5. The items mentioned in the email that I just sent earlier today to
the McDONALD list and shown in full further below are these excerpts:

ITEM # 1:

<<Surnames: Martin Bethune Myrick Harris Pemberton Parker McAuley Stanback
Howell Dunn Kilpatrick Denton MacLeod Campbell MacDonald>>

and

ITEM # 2:

<<1. Howell Harris MARTIN, b. November 30, 1831, NC; d. August 08,
1906, Moore Co, NC; m. Catherine MCDONALD; b. December 28, 1844,
Monroe Co., NC; d. June 23, 1932, Moore Co, NC.>>

and

ITEM # 3:

<<c. Charles Alexander Martin, born April 22, 1849 in Mariana, Florida,
died about 1928 and married Arabella Moncrief in April 1873.
Notes for GEN. Jesse J. Findley from pp. 46-47 THE FAMILY by Daniel
Allan McDonald: He was a hero of three wars: The Mexican; The Seminole
and the Civial War. He was a judge and Congressman who is probably
remembered more for another reason than his military exploits.
He introduced a bill into congress to reduce letter postage from
three to two cents.>>

and

ITEM # 4 and ITEM # 5:

<<
I. Murdoch or Murdock MARTIN, b. Abt. 1759, Isle of Skye, Scotland;
d. 1824, Moore Co, NC., son of John MARTIN (Capt.) and Marion "Sarah"
MACLEOD. He married Flora BETHUNE, daughter of Angus BETHUNE and Christian
CAMPBELL. She was born 1765 in Isle of Skye, Scotland, and died December 24,
1840 in Moore Co, NC.>>

Sincerely,

Bellinda Myrick-Barnett (the earlier message in full below)

Good morning to the MYRICK, HARRIS, McDONALD, & SLAUGHTER lists,

Re: all of the above and, specifically, re: this Mary MYRICK and Arthur
HARRIS below but also regarding the others herein who connect to my families in a
variety of ways.

I am forwarding this to the SLAUGHTER list even though that surname is not
mentioned here because of our ongoing intensive investigation into the SLAUGHTER
marriages into the HARRIS and Mc/MacDONALD lineage, surnames mentioned
herein, and in my MYRICK family group there are branches that married into the same
HARRIS that I descend from in my
HARRIS-JOYNER-BROWN-LOTT-LIGHTFOOT-HATTEN/HATTON family group of 1600s Virginia into North Carolina and this HARRIS group
is also in North Carolina as is the SLAUGHTER family that also married into
Mc/MacDONALD family from Isle of Skye, Scotland, it is believed, so, please, take
a look at the following, if you will, and let me know if there are any other
connections that anyone sees. I am descended from Owen SLAUGHTER, Jr. and
wife, Mary Mc/MacDONALD of late 1700s/1800s in Richmond County, North Carolina.

See the following.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Bellinda Myrick-Barnett

I am hunting for information on the following MARTIN ancestors and
relatives from the areas in and around Moore and Montgomery counties

any questions or anything to add or correct, please let me know. I
