Jane Smiley McDONALD married Thomas Joseph Thadius STRIBLING in Neshoba
County, MS in about 1849-1850. A courthouse fire destroyed the marriage
record.
My great-grandfather, Thomas Edwin STRIBLING, born December 29, 1850, was
their oldest child.
Jane Smiley (McDonald) STRIBLING was born 25-Dec-1830 in Roberson County,
NC. She died May 22, 1869, in Hopkins County, TX. She was a daughter of
Neill McDONALD and Mary McNAIR.
Neill McDONALD [born 18-Sep-1803 in Robeson (Bladen until 1787) Co., NC and
died 09-Dec-1852, Neshoba County, MS--buried in the Old Carolina
Presbyterian Church Cemetery] was a son of John S. McDONALD and Margaret
McDOUGAL.
Margaret (McDOUGAL) McDONALD [20 Aug 1780, Bladen County, NC--09-Dec-1857,
Laurel Hill, Neshoba County, MS] was a daughter of Archibald and Mary/
McDOUGAL.
I know about only one sibling of Margaret (McDOUGAL) McDONALD and she was
Catherine McDOUGAL, who married John CAMPBELL.
Neill McMILLAN married Mary Ann McDONALD on 15 May 1831, in Perry County,
AL.
Mary Ann (McDONALD) McMILLAN and Neill McDONALD were first cousins.
