Hello -

I have now traced back to this general area and am searching for a connection to a James McDonald/McDaniel, probably born in 1760-1775 range.

The Magness connection looks like a possibility from what I've read here and in various other sources. Is there anyone here who has info on Magness/Magnus McDonald of VA?
