Hi -
I am the one who believes that Daniel was the son of William 'Billy' McDonald and his 2nd wife - name unknown.
However, William and his 1st wife had as on John Andrew Jackson McDonald b. abt 1847.
This William was born abt 1791 Franklin County, Ga. married 11 Feb 1875 Habersham County, Ga., Louisa O'Bannon. There were 9 children in this marriage:
1. Nancy b. abt 1831
2. Elizabeth b. abt 1833
3. Green b. abt 1834
4. Charles b. abt 1835
5. Richard b. abt 1839
6. Thomas Nathaniel b. 1842
7. James b. 1846
8. John Andrew Jackson b 1847
9. Mary b. 1849

Louisa d. bet 1849 and 1854..
Children of the 2nd marriage are:
1. Georgia b. 1855
2. Daniel b. 1856
3. George Washington b. 1857
4. William David b. 1859 or 1860
