I need documentation that Andrew McKnight was the son of James McKnight. Both appear on the 1800 census of Cayuga Co. (Romulus) NY but seem to be in the same age group. Other census records indicate they were more likely brothers, than father & son.

1800 census Cayuga Co. NY (Romulus) became Seneca Co.NY in 1803.

Andrew McKnight p. 532 20010-00010
James McKnight p. 528 30010-11010

Records indicate Andrew McKnight was born about 1763 and James McKnight died before 1809.
