You guys are used to me trying to figure out why me and my tribe have so many
NA characteristics, but I think you'll get a laugh when I tell you I've also
been trying to find out how come my sister and I talk so southern--get taken
for southerners frequently. We don't talk nearly as southern as Dad, who
scarcely stepped outside of southern CO.
A man from Nottingham, Norfolk, Eng., said folks from Sussex as well as
Norfolk sound mighty southern. My English grandfather was from those areas.
Dad grew up on an isolated ranch with him, and my sister and I grew up on a
more isolated ranch with Dad.
I bet gobs of early southern immigrants were from Sussex and Norfolk.
My next message will explain why my sister and I can pass as full-blooded
eastern Indians.
