Speaking of the IRA my husband is Irish Catholic and I am Protestant. I
often think about how it would be if we lived in Ireland. Considering my
roots also go back to Ireland on the Thornsbury side. My Thornsburys gave up
the Catholic faith to become Quakers. After coming to America one of them
married outside the faith and changed the name from Thornborough to
Thornberry in order to spare his father the embarrassement. Then on to
Kentucky and the rest so they say is history.
