Nine years ago the genealogy for my family was thrust in my lap to work on.
At that time I had no computer and folk just didn't answer letters even with
SASE. Five years I got a competer but was not on the internet. Two years
ago I wentt on the internet with a brand new computer. Ah! I said - now I
can get down to some serious business and I did. I did fairly well and took
my family back to 1725 - the date of birth for my 5th g-grandfather. We
believe his birth to have been in Virginia however have not been able to go
any further. Recently - I received information that perhaps my family had
intermarried with the Saponi Indians and have tried to get informtion on
them to no avail. Several days ago I heard of your organization and said
"Well - now I can get some information". Not So. All I seem to read is
play. Aren't there any Adults out there? My Family begins with
Samuel/Lemuel Guy b. 1725. He married Mae Sarah _______? and they migrated
to Duplin Co., NC arriving in 1761. They bought property there in 1762, had
nine children one of which was my 4th-g-grandfather. Now I have posted to
your board. If any of you any any information on this family I would
greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thank You. Jane
