Sharon, I'm glad you stayed so I could find out that you have Skidmore
connections like I think I do. So often people with mixed blood married
others with mixed blood, and that there may be mixed Skidmore blood. My
sister had strangers tell her she was surely Indian many times before she
really listened. It took her a while to get me involved in trying to find
out why we look so NA. My sister and I are quite small and our ggrandfather
Hollister DeWitt, b. 1829, was said to be the size of a 12-year-old boy.
Here's the line from Jonas Skidmore that I think my gggfather Hollister
DeWitt married into. I think he married a daughter of John CasteeI and
Mary Friend. I also have a Sara Skidmore and am not sure where she fits in.
