Dear Kate, That was a very wonderful thing to do at the funeral, it was
thought of by a wonderful person, I am sure.
God always heals. It just may not be the type of healing that we are praying
for, but he does always heal, in his way, in his time. Sometimes he grants
the prayer that our loved one is healed and gets to stay with us here on
earth. Sometimes he heals by taking that person home with him. All of the
pain and hurt of the earthly struggles are gone. That is why we pray "they
will be done". I personally believe that even though God knows everything
about us, even the day that we are to die, I think that some times prayer can
intercede and God will change his plans. Now I don't know how Biblical that
theory is, or what scholars think about that, but it is just what I think.
God will ease the pain that you are in now due to the loss of your loved
one. Just know that God did, indeed heal him.
Judy T.
