Hi List and Nancy,

Thanks for the article, Nancy. I kind of wish I hadn't been introducing the
Sephardic research at the time on the message board but perhaps that's a
good thing.

I was hoping I could ask you a few things. My mom had significant child and
adult onset allergies. She was allergy to foods such as beans, peanuts,
strawberries, etc with ensuing hives, etc. As an adult, the allergies
became worse and medications became another problem. Her throat would swell
so that she couldn't breath. She finally died of anaphalytic shock. Now my
daughter has inherited the allergies, first being allergic to aspirin and
barely making to the hospital to be saved and now something new we've yet to
identify. She's been very ill and we worry everyday about what will happen
next. Would you or anyone else know anything about possible Melungeon
tendencies to allergies?

Thanks again for all your hard work. You're a real trooper.

Cheers,
Donalyn
