Right. They forgot to include that men were in the study, etc.
One thing that does stand out in the article though, and needs to be kept
in mind is that Melungeons have been, and are being genetically swamped by
white DNA. The same thing is happening to American Indians. At some point
our heritage has to be about more than just skin, more than just that "dark"
Melungeon look that keeps getting talked about.
Common Culture? Genealogy? Identity? Beliefs? Interests? The focus will
need to turn to something other than what is skin-deep.
