Subject: [Melungeon] Melungeon DNA Study Results

My latest research nearly quadruples the size of the articles at the Gowen
Research Foundation, Eclectica and Multiracial. I believe I have been able
to find the location, time and coming together of the first three or four
mixed families that would eventually produce the Melungeons. I have also
researched and written thorough biographies of the Melungeon ancestors of the
1620-1660 era based not only on Heinegg but additional rich biographical
sources describing white, red and black ancestors.

The research also includes a very detailed history of the lost Roanoke
Colony. There is documentation that Roanoke survivors lived among Indians
(who lived next to Melungeons) who put them to work, of all things, digging
for silver and gold in their mines. Their trail leads all the way to the
Appalachian Mountains. As you may know, 3-4 common English surnames found
among the Roanokers are also found among the Melungeons. Was there a
connection? It was awfully close, but you can judge for yourself. Hopefully
I will get off my can after I see what Dr. Jones has found, and get this
manuscript ready to go. Melungeon history is engrossing and I can't seem to
find a stopping point. More new information is becoming available faster
than I can read and document it, from the 17th century Indians to the Cold
Harbor Springs Eugenics labs of the 20th century.
