Well, the post was a little unclear. I believe he meant that the woman married a full-blooded Indian and had a daughter. Then the DAUGHTER married a full-blooded Indian and had a daughter who was 3/4. But the mtDNA - from daughter to mother to mother, etc. would show European because the Indian line came in on the dad's side.

Oh boy have you just confused the heck out of me....How could someone who
married a fullblood Indian have a child that was 3/4 Indian unless the other
parent was half Indian already? And how could a 3/4 Indian show as Northern
European????

mtDNA was done on a female back to a lady that was listed
> in the census as "FPC". She was identified as Northern European (Helena)
