I thought maybe it meant exotic in that it couldn't be identified. What else
is there besides European, Asian, NA or African? Maybe Australian
aborigines? Have they classified them yet? I know at one time some
scientists thought the aborigines were a branch who left Indian more years
ago than I can count so I probably incorrectly assumed they were Caucasian.

Pat,
It certainly would mean more at 300 years than 35,000
years, and thankfully the rate and type of mutations
can often tell us that. "Exotic" is simply the term
American geneticists use to describe any DNA that is
not European, Eurasian, Native American, or African.
At least that's what Kevin Jones said in his
presentation, and it coincides with how
anthropologists, etc. use the term as well,
espesically for the Appalachian region.
