Jack,
Nancy Shute wrote that article as a small part of a
much larger issue on "Histories Mysteries." At the
time of her visit, the population study had just
gotten underway (as you know, we collected Y samples
for the study AFTER that interview). At that point in
time all that had been collected were mtDNA samples
(hair) and that's what she reported. And Nancy Shute
was not involved in the study. She was a reporter.
Why do you keep quoting that study and Nancy Shute as
if she is the primary researcher and as if all that
happened afterwards didn't happen? Furthermore,
control groups already exist. It's called DNA
databanks. There's no need to reinvent the wheel.<G>
