In Pike Co., Ohio we have had ice storm after ice storm. Trees are down everywhere, blocking roads. Electricity is off, and further south people aren't getting water into their houses. Our electricity was off last night. However, the sheriff lives across the road from us - and they got it on again in about 6 hours.
We are probably the only people in the county who do not have television service (and even when we have a dish, we cannot get Ohio news--some weird glitch in the law) so we are not abreast of the national weather.
Our prayers are with everyone who are suffering hardship at this time.

Southeastern KY was hit pretty hard w/ rain and flooding. All the
surrounding schools in Bell Co, Harlan Co, Knox Co, & Whitely Co are out,
and most school systems have missed b/w 15 to 17 days this year due to the
severe weather. The Cumberland River at Williamsburg was supposed to crest
at 2:30 AM at a higher stage than it did in 1977. The water has gone down
some this morning, and it's finally quit raining &/or is only drizzling. I
live on a state hwy, and it was flooded yesterday at two points. We have an
alternate road that's used during flooding, thank goodness. It's been pretty
rough here. You probably heard about the two apartment buildings that were
demolished in a mud slide in K'ville yesterday. It was on the national news.
