If you do a "google" search for "genealogy scams" you get close to 300
"hits", most all of which are worth reading. It's amazing the number of
ripoffs & amount of "defective genealogy" that is out there on the web &
just about everywhere else. False or fake genealogies have been being sold
for over 100 years. Anyone who is serious, and most who are not so serious,
about family history research needs to be very familiar with this subject
so they won't waste money or continue to perpetuate erroneous info that is
taken as "fact" by many.
