It is beyond my understanding where some of these folks are coming from. I
expect any day now we will be identified as mis-placed Chinese <<G>> Hang
in there Frank. I'm gonna have to meet you one of these days.

have no earthly idea who we are.

misinformation goes back to a few people who wanted to be Melungeon for
some reason, unknown to me. Their ancestors were not free colored and
neither were they in the area where the Melungeons were. So they claimed to
have suffered the same discrimination as the Melungeons suffered, except no
written records exist that identifies them as free colored, or discriminated
against, not even Walter Plecker recognized them because they were
enumerated white. Plecker sure was after Melungeon descendants who had
migrated to Virginia. Ever wonder how those guys ancestors escaped Plecker?
The truth is they didn't, because they were white. Maybe we should adopt
them as the white top Melungeon tribe. Frank
