I agree with you that this is not the place for dispensing medical advice
or divulging hereditary medical conditions. I also believe that this is not
the place for those who hope to profit from, or partially recoup expenses
of their research, to allude to their ancestry, while refusing to divulge
that ancestry. This is supposed to be a "free to all" vehicle for sharing
information. If more people did that, and listed their verifiable sources
for that information, there would probably be MUCH less in the way of
arguments on this list and everyone would benefit from that. Since most
"genealogical books" never even come anywhere close to breaking even,
expense wise, it seems strange that you would not share what appears as if
it might be very valid information.

who your ancestors were how can you claim they were Melungeon? I have my
Collins family documented and in a book ready to publish but I'm not about
to give it away. I explained that John T was my nephew and I was now living
with him, I was on the list many months when I was home. You talk of being
Melungeon related through some marriage, gosh we may all be Melungeon
related through marriage. You mentioned last week that no one on this list
ever said there was Melungeon diseases. Anyone who goes to Google and types
in "Melungeon Diseases" you will see that someone was on this list. Frank
