Howdy Emaline, He just said that was a fighting word, You never called
anyone a Melungeon and this part has always bumfuzzeled me too. Then when you read the church record where one lady accused the other of housing Melungeons, that was obviously considered bad. This is why I do not believe any group ever called themselves Melungeon. Frank
