If I offended Joanne or anyone else, I'm sorry - I didn't realize that Joanne is both the researcher and the webspinner for this website. That's a hard row to hoe and nobody knows that better than me. I'd be happy to lend an 'eye' and help to anyone who's trying to do a website. So Joanne, if I can help you diagnose the problem of the overlapping text (visible to me in Mozilla Firefox and IE), just let me know. I might not know the answer right away but I can maybe get in touch with a dear old friend who should be able to help (I'm talking, folks, about Boyd Shearer - some of you may remember meeting him at First and Second Union - he came to hold my hand through all the technical stuff - his 'business' URL is: http://www.outragegis.com . )

Again, my apologies.

bye,
darlene

I made the statement (about Brent) because of the part I COULD read:
"In our examination of the many articles, books, and websites on "Who are the Melungeons, etc" we have discovered most of these are opinions with little or no historical records to back them up. We believe a growing number of people have been misled concerning the historical Melungeons. These pages are brought to you by a group of researchers determined to show factual information concerning the historical Melungeons.
~History cannot be changed by opinions.~"

Who else are you trying to refute?

Darlene,

I've had no other emails about browser problems, if I do they will be taken care of, maybe it is your browser. Yeah, well I am not a professional webmaster and I would much rather spend my money obtaining hard to get documents, clipping files, deeds etc., that requires renting micro-films and hiring researchers.

I am not competing with anyone, I seen a need for *real* documentation and hard to find articles FOUR years ago when the MHA website was nothing more than a page with a bunch of broken links. I may have more than several articles that are the same as MHA but mine were there first. If there is any competition it is on the part of MHA --- not me.

And I have no idea why you would write this;

"If you are, in launching a competing endeavor, chiding the MHA for being allied with Brent (and thus seemingly endorsing his theories), then you should be more forthright "

I don't give a hoot who MHA is allied with and I don't know how you can say they 'endorse' anyone's theories when they present dozens of theories on their website.'

This was not about who's site is prettier. There is actually one site that is much prettier -- theirs professes the Melungeons were from another planet.

Joanne
