Shucks! I lived in Missoura from kindergarten to the 5th grade and then we
moved back to Arizona and learned that I used to live in Missouree - that's
what my new 5th grade teacher said and that's what I've said ever since. In
St. Louis my family had breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also did this in
Arizona, and for the past 21 years in Tennessee. A lot of other folks here
in South Middle Tennessee have breakfast, lunch and supper. They don't have
dinner. In the Army we had chow 3 times a day or breakfast, lunch and
dinner if you prefer. The big meal was usually in the evening. For most of
20 years in the USAF we also ate breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon and
dinner in the evening most of the time - unless we were invited to "dinner"
by someone at some other time of the day. Oh yeah, in the Army Sunday
dinner was at noon and I never ate at the dining hall at noon on Sunday in
the USAF. By the way, in college I had a roommate from Texas where they
didn't have afternoons. It seems where he lived there was morning 'till
noon, then evening 'till dark after which came night. We always argued
about that and as far as he was concerned Webster was all wet. What made
him and successors authorities on words? Great Scott!! But that's all a
long time ago and he may be pushing up daisies morning, evening and night.

Bye now,

George Ude
