I am new to this list and I am enquiring about my
GG/Gfather Thomas Evans.
Thomas native place is given as Newport Wales.
On his Convict Record it s tates that he was convicted in Denbigh Wales on the 19.10.1847.
And was sent to Tasmania, arriving on the 5.10.1850. He had a Brother called Morgan,a sister called Mary and his Mothers name was Kath,
Maybe Catherine.
His children whether Male or Female, most of whom had the name Morgan. As a second or third name.
He was sentenced for stealing a Mare from or for
Matthew Evans.
And was a member of the 75th Regiment.
And that he had bought his own discharge, also he was a widow and had a letter to that effect on him when he was Transported, or on conviction of his crime.

Is there an 1841 Census for Newport or Denbigh Wales.
And are there any relations of this Evans family in Wales.
And I would love to know his Fathers name, or any information that is possible.
Can anyone help me Please!!!
