I am searching for ANY information on JEFFERSON T. NANCE,
1910 Bryan Co.OK.Census says he was 82 years old which makes his
birthdate 1828.Problem is Jefferson married in 1858 to Nancy Whiteley in
Barry Mo.,their daughter Cynthia Mae Nance married Joseph Gravitt
Steelman, LOFE NANCE married Mally Steelman, Joseph's sister.Who does
LOFE NANCE belong to? He is not listed as Cynthia's brother,My line of
Nance's and Steelman's have married first cousins.I have a 2nd cousin
who married his first cousin.I am stuck on this line. Thanks Roxy

Hi, Roxie: Just a thought, but could LOFE actually have been LAFE as in
Lafayette or Marcus Lafayette (named after Marquis de Lafayette)?

Also, while I"m here <g>: Is Jefferson NANCE kin by any chance to the
Frederick NANCE who was in Madison Co AR?* And/or to the COMBS-NANCE families
of much earlier Wilkes Co, NC?
