THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2001
Former President Bill Clinton on Wednesday told a group of students that the
United States was paying a price for historical injustices committed against
Native Americans and African slaves.
Clinton said the nation "looked the other way" when the U.S. government was
killing Native Americans and taking their lands. He said terrorism has long
existed in the nation against Natives and African-Americans.
Clinton made his remarks to students at Georgetown University in Washington,
D.C.
