My name is Neisa Tweedy Swearingen and I am looking for any info on a William Tweedy and his death I know that he died between 1790-1810. he was in SC in 1800 but disappeared after 1800. Possibly moved back to NC. I believe he was the son of a John Twitty from VA
William was born abt 1735 in VA or NC william had several sons : James Francis Tweedy born OCt.10,1770, Robert Francis Tweedy 1772, both i believe where born in NC either Tyrell Co or Tryon Co. he also had a Patrick and a John D. Tweedy and maybe 2 daughters; Sussanah and Elizabeth.
any info would greatly be appreciated. there are several different spellings of Tweedy and they are all related.
