Joel, We have not been able to get beyond our NC ancestor, George Washington
Hampton, b. 1802 in Burke Co. NC. Census records state that his father was
"from England", and that his mother was "from NC". We do not know the name
of either. The naming pattern of his children we thought might give us a
clue, but we have not learned anything more.
