I am looking for any precinct or town data on the James and John McCarty
found there on the 1800 census, if anyone has access to that census. HH
numbers would have ando can you verify thattheJohn is age 16 to 25 with wife
of the same age and has one male child under age 10?

Thanks so much. So far this is the most likely candidate for theAbner
McCarty found in the 1850 Scott and as I am told also the 1840 for that
county/ Note that in as much as I have never been able to check this census
formyself, if you should have access to an index could you also check that
Census for the different spellings of McCart(e)e , Carty and Carte(e) as
well as McCardie and Cardie.
