The McConnells have been driving me bonkers for a few years, that is my
surname,(maiden)and they were so secretive. I do not know if they made it to
NC or not, but, this is what I believe, there were 7 brothers McConnell,
they all came over to the "new world" as indentured servants and after their
time was served they went their separate ways. I believe this because I met
a gentleman from Ohio that was McConnell and he was enough like my father to
have been his closest brother. So, if you find some McConnells in the NC
census, try to find if they were from Scotland. If you do find they were
originally from Scotland, then please let me know. They came over about 1760
or so.

There is only one other alternative to getting older, and I'm not ready for
that yet. I'm too busy diggin my roots and searching for more limbs to my
tree. Diggin for Stewart, McConnell, Inglis, Herring, MacFarlane, Jones,and
others on paternal side,
Addison,Wright,Newell,Bowden,McDaniel,Foster,Renfro, Edwards on maternal
side and others.
