Lynn, they are both correct, but obviously not the same Sarah, nor the same
William. The William shown in the 1850 census with Sarah would have been
born about 1841, while the one in the 1870 census would have been born about
1852.

The only Sarah shown as a wife of a Sadler in the 1850 census was the wife
of William Sadler, age 36. That Sarah was age 32 and no Sadler children
were listed with them, though there was a Christiana A. Reev (or Rue), age
6. By 1860, Sarah is gone and William is shown on that census with a new
wife, apparently the widow of a Reev, named Elizabeth. With the family in
1860 are William, age 47, Elizabeth, age 33; Thomas, Bryan, and George Reev,
ages 15, 13, and 11, respectively. Also in the home are Samuel Sadler, age
5, and James Sadler, age 8 months, apparent children of William and
Elizabeth Sadler.

I checked all the Sadlers in 1860 Hyde County, and find no other Sadler
wives named Sarah, so can't explain who the Sarah who is aged 40 in 1870
might be.

Jabez, page 167, with Fanny
James, page 255, with Dorcas
John G., page 177, with Mary
M., page 164, with Jane
Milton, page 153, with Elizabeth
Noah, page 167, apparently single
Richard T., page 139, with Eleanor
Samuel, page 159, with Jennally?
Shadrach, page 135, apparently single
Green, not indexed, with Ireltha
and the William above with Elizabeth on page 191.
