I am not finding any of these folks in 1880 North Carolina.

There is no Cage Cranford or Crawford indexed, no Emma or Jane Cranford born
ca 1878.

Here is a rather far-fetched Arlindo Frye - not born in 1880 as you stated,
but I think that was a typo because if he married in 1894, would have only
been 14. At any rate, this is all I can find on any possible individuals
you list:

I will go back and see if perhaps "Cage" may be indexed as "Gage" instead.
I checked all those folks with the given name "Cage" in 1880 North Carolina,
and there was nobody even close to Cranford.
