Tamiz,
1920 is indexed head-of-household, which means your John Tillman, as a
five-year-old child, wouldn't be.
Because there are seventy Brigmans indexed in 1920 North Carolina, I would
need to know either the county or the name of his parents in order to locate
John Tillman in the 1920 census.
1930 is every-name indexed and there are twelve John Brigmans listed. None
have a "T" initial, none indicate that they were born in 1915. There is
also no Tillman or JT Brigman indexed in 1930 North Carolina.
My suggestion would be to obtain a copy of John Tillman's death certificate
which will give you the names of his parents as well as other pertinent
information helpful to your search.
Sorry I'm not able to help at this point.
