Ok Linda,

Sorry I was just seeing if I would get a response on this list since I was
still having trouble on the Ms list with my postings bouncing back again.

Here we go with what I know about our Valentine Moores. There are 2 Valentine
Moores in my family a Sr. and a Jr. V. Moore Sr. b.c.1775 married Nancy
Lashley c. 1795. I beleive Sr. was born in Va and Jr. was born in either Va or Nc.

Valentine Moore Jr. b. c. 1810 married Lousia B. Ward in 1839 in Orange
Co,NC. I know Jr. went to Montgomery Co,Al in c. 1839-1840 because thats where my
gggrandmother Martha Moore was born in 1840 so I figured Jr's father and mother
might still be in Orange C,Nc or a neighboring county in 1860. I suspect that
after Martha got married to our Wm Martin Smith in 1866 that Jr and Louisa
went back to North Carolina since there is no census record of them in
Montgomery,Al.
