Hi Bill,

I went to NC to the Cherokee Reservation to research a great-grandmother and
I went to the enrollment office and I was told they closed the roll and
noone can look at them. She said ever since the casino opened in Cherokee
NC hundreds of people came in to get on the rolls to get casino money and
they closed the rolls and were going to remove the ones who all came in at
the beginning. She said I could go to the library in Cherokee, NC and do
research for ancestors but I was leaving next day for KY and would have had
to stay in Cherokee in a motel for a week to do research! SO, yes it is hard
to get any money on rolls since all that happened.
