Hello There,
I don't know this to be your Cleopatra Miller or not but is worth a
checkout.
William F. Chapman Head, Age 71, Himself and parents born NC,
Mary L. Wife, Age 47, Herself and parents born NC,
Maydie L. Daughter, Age 3, Herself and parents born NC,
Bettie Miller Step Daughter, Age 17, Herself and parents born NC,
John M. Step Son, Age 14, Himself and parents born NC,
Little C. Daughter, Age 8, Herself and parents born NC,
William has been in the present marriage 6 years, 2nd. marriage, he is a
General Farmer, he was able to read and write, he owned his farm, he was a
survivor of the Union or Confederate Army or Navy. Mary has been in the
present marriage 6 years, 2nd. marriage, she is the mother of 9 children, 7
still living, she was able to read and write, she was a stay at home mom.
Maydie, I am not sure of the spelling of this name, could be Magie, maybe,
she did not read and write, helped her mom around the farm. Bettie was
single, she was a Mill Hand at a Cotton Mill, she was able to read and
write, she was not in school. John was single, he was a Farm Laborer on the
Home Farm, he was in school and able to read and write. Little C. was in
school, she was able to read but not write. Little C. is listed as a
Daughter but I am pretty sure that she is a step daughter to William as she
is listed as a Miller and is older than years William has been married.
This census was enumerated May 5, 1910.
