Looking for any updated information on Robert G. Thornton and Mary
Foxhall ( Robert is my 5th great grandfather)

Mary parents are Thomas Foxhall & Sarah Bracewell, she was born March
25th 1765 NC, Edgecomb Co.

Children:

Ann Thornton April 26th 1783 NC.
Sarah Thornton Feb. 7th, 1786 NC.
John Thornton Sept. 21, 1788 NC.
Charrity Thornton Jan. 7th, 1791 NC.
William Thornton Sept. 20th, 1793 NC
Margaret Thornton Oct. 28th, 1795 Georgia Hancock Co.
Robert Thornton Jr. July 23, 1800 GA. Hancock Co.
Hambleton Thornton Nov. 20th, 1802 GA. Hancock Co. (This may be
Hamilton Thornton my 4th great grandfather) or his father??
Susannah Thornton June 22, 1806 Maury Co. Tenn.
Thomas Thornton July 23, 1809 Maury Co. Tenn.

Marriage:

John to Caty Kirk Oct 6, 1808.
Margaret to John W. Graves 1817.
Sarah to Henry Kirk Dec. 1st, 1808 (Kirk Siblings???)
William to Mary Graves daughter of Ralph & Elizabeth Graves, possibly
another Grave sibling??
Mary to James H. Graves Aug. 18th, 1818 (Grave Siblings?????)
Hamilton Thornton to Mary Ann McEachern , possibly Smith Co TN or NC??
March 31 1825 (My family)
Robert to Emily Graves Feb. 1843 Fayette Co. Tenn.
(The Thorntons seem to Marry in to the Kirk and Graves family often,
with the exception of Hamilton's.
Would like to connect with any Graves or Kirk cousins.........

Deaths:

Ann died in Sept. 1787, Two years & 9 months old.
Robert Sr., died Sept. 16th 1826. age 65.
Mary Thornton died May 24th, 1845. age 80.


This information was sent to me several years ago my Jenny Rainwater, I
believe from her family bible.

This information on Robert and son Hamilton coincide with a family
letter written by my Great Uncle
James Redmond about his mothers family (my great-grandmother) Mary
Thornton Redmond bn., 1888 Eureka Ca,
her mother is Mary Hamilton Thornton possibly daughter of Dr. Patrick
Thornton, who I believe is the son of Hamilton Thornton.
Any and all info., on Hamilton Thornton, his wife and siblings (possible
child, Patrick), would be greatly appreciated.

Patrick's daughter Mary Hamilton Thornton, who is Patrick's wife????
Mary Hamilton Thornton possibly born in Louisiana or Tenn., died age 89,
San Francisco Ca. July 1959 possibly on the 17.
Her father (Patrick) or grandfather (Hamilton), may have had a
Plantation in Tenn., but have yet to find information on where in Tenn.,
possibly Maury Co????
also may have owned a Stage Coach Line for the south. There were
Plantation/Slave records on this family sold at
James Redmonds death in the mid 1990 in Santa Rosa Ca., son of Mary
Thornton Redmond
and husband Dr. Edwin Waddell. If Copies are out the, they would be
appreciated.
Mary's H., husband James J. Redmond, died possibly in 1926 S.F., Ca

Looking for the names of Mary Hamilton Thornton/Redmonds siblings,
possibly a Bruce Redmond SF. Ca..

Also looking for information on Thomas Foxhall & Sarah Bracewell family.

I believe through this information above I have made the connection
going back, from
San Francisco-Eureka Ca to Tenn., to Georgia (which is a new discovery),
to Tenn., to N.C., and to St. Criox.,
but I need documentation. I'm still not sure how Mary H., was born in LA
, I have serious doubt, as I believe see was born in Tenn.
She would have been born about 1869-1870 Tenn.????

Where is Smith Co., Tenn.?? and Maury Co., Tenn.??? Where is Handcock
Co., Georgia???

Also looking for a Site for St. Croix West Indies, and Robert or William
(Robert's brother) Plantation in the West Indies.
Dr. William Thornton designed first State Capital DC. Looking for other
siblings of Robert Sr.

Any and all information on this family would be greatly appreciated.
