Hi Kathy,

My 1910 index isn't showing any results for Rufus or Frank/Franklin HAMBY/
HANBY
with a wife Susan. The only result showing up is a J. Frank HAMBY, b.
1864, living in
Caldwell Co., with wife, Elen and son Gamewell? Garnwell? Ganewell? (can't
make out
the name) and daughter Elsie. There's a Franklin HAMBY in Wilkes Co., but
he's born
1820, making him 90 yrs. old.

The only listing for a Susan HAMBY is in Rutherford Co. She's born 1851,
is head of
household and has son Alford with her and some people named McDOWELL.

His wife was Susan born 1865 also in NC.
I also know that on many census the last name is spelled HANBY.
