Dear Listers

I have just received a copy of an 1857 marriage certificate here in
Australia and it states the groom was born in South Carolina!! What a
surprise. I would love to find out more about him so would SKS please check
the 1850 census of SC for me for a -

Darrel Fair BOLEY born c 1829 SC, the name of his father is unknown but he
was a saddler and his mother's name was Elizabeth nee FAIR. Darrel could be
spelt different ways I guess, maybe Darryl, Darrell etc. He was listed as a
musician on the certificate. As a matter of interest the male witness to
the wedding was James Milton FOANS who I believe was also an American.

I think Boley is a fairly uncommon name so hopefully he won't be too hard to
find. Many thanks for reading this far and any assistance in finding Darrel
would be most appreciated.

Best wishes

Kerrie Alexander
