The will of Peter King Sr. (book A page 74) of Orange Co. N.C. & in perfect=20
health when made on Sept. 8 1763, probated in ---1763. Sons: Johnston (the=20
eldest), Benajah & Peter. Daughters: Elizabeth Fish (the eldest), Matilda=20
Rutledge, Mary James, Sarah Raynolds & Zilphah Randol. Grand-children:=20
Peter Harris (my present home-plantation of 543 acres on both sides of Dials=
=20
Creek in Orange Co), Peter & Nicholas (sons of Peter King Jr.). Exr: son=20
Peter. Witnesses: Charles Bruce, Thomas Brown & John Parker.
Supreme Court March 25 1765: Esq. Edmund Fanning moves that the will of=20
Peter King be proved. Mr. John Dunn thinks there is a later one & it is=20
laid over to next court. (It is proved on & his son, Peter King, is the=20
Exr.)
Sept. 21 1753: =93Ordered that Peter King and Hugh foster be Commssrs. =20
Appointed to See that a Road be cut and opened A road from the Settmt of=20
Dunn the most Agreeable way to that part of this County, to Peter Kings Mill=
=20
& from there the best and nearest Way to Rowan Court house=94.
Book 5 page 81: On Jan. 9 1761, Earl Granville lets Peter King, a planter of=
=20
Rowan Co. N.C., have 641 acres cavant land crosing his mill-pond, for 10=20
shillings, witnessed by W. Lucas & W. Churton & proved in Oct. 1762.
Jan. 24 1756: =93Ordered that Benjamin Starret & Hugh Foster be appointed=20
Commissioners in the Room of Peter King=94.
Surry Co. N.C., book A page 27: July 6 1772, Benagher King makes a deed of=20
trust to Lanier & Williams--all of Surry Co. N.C.--for his improvement where=

he lives on Double Creek, his horses &c., for 30 poinds & 18 shillings,=20
proved in Feb. 1773.

Book 2 page 41: On July 3 1754, Robert Jones Jr., attorney-at-law of Surry=20
co. Va. (through his attorney Daniel Weldon) lets Anthony Hampton of Rowan=20
Co. have 300 acres on the north side of Dan River, for 5 pounds, witnessed=20
by Thomas Lovelatty, Edward Hughes, Johnston King & Hugh forster, &=20
acknowledged on May 29 1755.
Book 5 page 237: July 14 1750, Anthony Hampton of Rowan Co. N.C.--no wife=20
signs--lets John Sharp of --- have 300 acres on the north side of Dan River,=
