There is a chance that he may have inherited the slaves. I have a Barton
Dyson B July 24, 1750, son of James Dyson & Abigail Dent. I do not have a date
of death or location for James or Abigail but it could be Iredell County. My
Dent line ended up in Rowan County, you may want to check there also.

Dyson is not one of my direct lines so I don't have more information. I
have the T. E. Swann collection as a source in my notes.

If you live in North Carolina, the library in Salisbury has the T.E. Swann
Collection and it is indexed.
