The Anne Hart, married to Allen Warren, was sister to William Hart, who was
the neighbor to William Gwaltney. They were the children of Robert and
Priscilla Barham Hart.
Anne's grandmother, Anne Sheppard Hart, wife of Thomas Hart, was the
daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Spencer Sheppard. When Elizabeth became a
widow, she took as her second husband, Thomas Warren. The Allen whom your
Anne married was probably his grandson because he had a son named Allen by
his third marriage.
Thomas Warren built what was once called the first brick house in Surry Co.
It is still standing. However, that honor has been given to another house
The other one you mentioned, John Hart married to Mary Lane, was the son of
Henry who was the son of the Thomas and Anne of above.

I track the HARTS, at least some of them. John HART (ABT 1680-1746)
married Mary LANE, d/o Thomas LANE, Jr. and Jane FLOOD of Surry County, VA,
later Bertie County, NC. They had chillen named: Benjamin HART, Jesse HART,
John HART, David HART and Rebecca HART all born ABT 1700-1720. The only one
of these kids I track was Benjamin who married a Mary Ann LEE and moved to
Mary LANE was the first cousin of the chillen of Joseph LANE, Sr. and
Julia JARRELL of Edgecombe which includes Joseph LANE, Jr. who married
Patience McKINNE, Benjamin LANE who married a DREW and Mary LANE who married
An Ann HART (ABT 1702-AFT 1794), who was probably out of this same
overall HART family married Allen WARREN, Jr, son of Allen WARREN, Sr. and
Elizabeth Ann CLEMENTS, all of Surry.
One of the grand kids of this WARREN family (Robert, Allen, Sr) of Surry
was Henchee WARREN (1728-1803) of Burke County, GA He married a Rachel
ANDERSON (1749-1816) out of Northampton County, NC.
