Looking for any information on Jacob Miller b1752. Related to Miller family (German) near Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co, VA. Met Catharine Maloy (Scottish, b1756) on wharf at Wilmington, NC and they married c 1772. Catharine's sister, Isabella, married William Mercer, son of Henry Mercer. Jacob served in Rev War. Jacob and Catharine had 10 children - first two, John and Francis, were killed by lightening and last two sons named for them. Moved from NC, through SC, participated in GA land lotteries for RWar veterans. Settled near Appling, Columbia Co, GA where they died in c1808 - 1814. Jacob and Catharine sold their land to son in law, James Bradberry. Isabella and William settled near Augusta. Any information greatly appreciated! Sandy Bush
