My NC family is GUTHRIE

I have a John GUTHRIE born about 1771 in VA. He married a Jane ______. She
was born about 1785, place unknown. They had the following children:

Elizabeth Caroline, born 1800, NC, married James P Baxter in Lincoln co TN;
one of their daughters married a DANCE

Patsey, born about 1804 presume NC probably married a John WILLIAMS in TN

Sarah H, born ?married a Hugh R HODGE, probably in TN

James C. born? married a Nancy _______ in 1810, in 1818 was in TN and fought
in the first Seminole Indian war. Died in 1842, Simpson co MS, children &
wife went to LA, later children went to TX

Susanah born about 1810 married Thomas Jefferson BAXTER, Susanah died 1842
Rutherford co NC; Thomas went on to Lincoln co TN where he died in 1873

Simpson born about 1813 married an Elizabeth ________ they are on the 1850 &
1860 census for Lincoln co TN then lose all traces of them & children.

Sophia born about 1815 presume NC married John F WALKER

Mary H born ? married a COLEMAN no further info

Reubin F on 1840 Lincoln co TN census living next door to father, with wife
and children then disappears from records

Lucinda A born about 1820 TN stays around Lincoln co TN, lived with father
untill his death between 1850 & 1860

I do not know if John moved to NC with his parents or went there later as an
adult. I do not know when or where John and Jane were married. From what the
children state on later census records the family was somewhere in NC in
1800. Between 1818 and 1820 they moved to Lincoln co TN where they are
mentioned as settling near Dances's mill circa 1820 in Goodspeed's history
of TN. I decend through James C.

I am hoping someone will have some clue to the parents of John. Reubin and
Simpson are not common names in this line and don't appear in later
generations except that Simpson named one of his son's Ruebin. I am thinking
there might be a Reubin or Simpson someplace in NC or VA that are related to
John. Any clues appreciated.
