I am looking for information on the Thomas Griffin family of Anson
county. (or new cousins)
My information comes from The Griffin Family History book.
Thomas Griffin, wife Mary Elizabeth Mullis, and assorted relatives and
children settled here after the Revolution.
Children:
Jefferson (moved to Missouri)
Charlie m. Betsy Ross
Thomas, Jr. m. Annie Vann
Amos m. Alsie Austin
John m. Sarah Austin
Enoch m. Rebecca Austin 1st, Rebecca Robards 2nd
Nancy m. John Brewer 1st, William Barnes 2nd
Mollie m. Stephen Trull
Frances m. Obadiah Curlee
Sarah m. William Hamilton
It says Thomas and his father Richard are buried on the "old Griffin
farm, 10 miles east of Monroe", owned (in 1948) by Clint Mullis. Thomas
owned land in the Lanes Creek area. Does anyone know where this is?
I think my husband is descended from Amos and Alsie Austin, through his
son John (Jack) and wife Susanna Coley. Alsie, Sarah and Rebecca Austin
were all daughters of Bryant Austin.
