I'm trying to learn as much as I can about Ashe Co. Parkers from 1840 through
1900 in an effort to learn more about my GG GF John Parker who lived in Ashe
Co.

The other major Parker who lived in Ashe Co. for more than one census
enumeration is Jesse Parker. Jesse is 20-30 years old in the 1840 Ashe Co.
Census, then matures with his family (?second wife Catherine) until the 1870
Census.

Does anyone know where he was born? Parents? Date of death? Place of Death?

John lived in Johnson Co., TN in the 1850 and 1860 censuses and then moved to
Ashe Co. from 1870 through 1900.

I'm trying to see if Jesse and John could be brothers who both moved from
their county of birth about the same time (?Wilkes). Both list NC as their
birthplace.

Will share information on Ashe Co. Parkers that I have collected.
